| From Snow 2-23-10 |
After a beautiful weekend with temperatures in the 70's, we were hit with a pretty significant snow storm (by Texas standards). Abby's school was closed by mid-day and she got to spend the afternoon at home enjoying the snow with David and Pam. I had to remain at work today. Since I work for an electric company, my job is essential enough that I am not going to be sent home for bad weather. I'm glad things cleared up enough by quitting time that the travel back to the house was not a problem. We are expecting some re-freeze of the snow that melted in the over-night hours.
Abby's school is delayed a couple of hours in the morning. I will be expected to show up at the normal time. I hope the road crews take care ofthe slick spots before I must leave the house in the morning.
